Advanced Technology

Precision Technology. Better Outcomes.

Technology in periodontics does two things that matter most: it improves diagnostic accuracy before surgery and supports more predictable outcomes after. Dr. John Darby and Dr. Timothy Johnson integrate advanced imaging, guided surgical planning, and regenerative protocols across their full range of procedures — not as added features, but as standard components of how care is delivered here.

Our cone beam CT (CBCT) imaging produces detailed three-dimensional views of the jaw, bone structure, and adjacent anatomy, giving our team the diagnostic detail needed for accurate treatment planning — particularly for implant placement and bone grafting cases.

For implant surgery, we use Simplant virtual planning software to design and guide precise implant positioning before the procedure begins. Piezosurgery technology, used during bone grafting, allows for selective bone cutting that leaves surrounding soft tissue intact — reducing trauma, post-operative discomfort, and recovery time. Combined with our regenerative healing protocols (PRF, PRGF, and BMP), these tools support faster, healthier healing without compromising the thoroughness of treatment.

Experience and Technology, Combined

A Specialty Practice Built for Complex Cases

Dr. Darby and Dr. Johnson have spent decades focused on the connection between periodontal health and overall systemic health. For patients who have been told they need specialist care — or who present with conditions that have affected their general health — that depth of experience matters.

Whether the treatment required is surgical or non-surgical, straightforward or complex, our team has the training, technology, and clinical experience to deliver thorough, evidence-based care. For patients who benefit from sedation, our IV sedation certification allows us to provide a more comfortable experience throughout the procedure.
